My MVP

Back in May, Beth was awarded as on of the MVPs from her elementary school. She was thereby treated to a Dragons game a few weeks ago, given some Dayton Dragons merchandise, and invited to "Field Day" at Dragons Stadium today.

Field Day was a blast! Beth got her picture taken with two very cute ball players... ...hit wiffle balls pitched by a Dragons infielder ...got a poster autographed by the team, ...raced the bases against another MVP from her school She also got jump on inflatables, get her face painted, and scarf popcorn while roaming the field. What fun!

Celebrating June

We had a party today celebrating all of the June birthdays and Father's day for the Trittschuh clan. Our birthday crew starting at the top and proceeding clockwise - Jim, Joe, (Beth's only lighting candles, her birthday is next month) Mary & Diana. Happy birthday to all! And just for giggles, here's a shot of this same birthday group taken in 2005, only 4 years ago! Look at the difference in the kids! Uncle Jim & Aunt Di, aren't you glad we didn't make you cram into a pint size picnic table for this year's birthday photo?!

Mr. Goodwrench

John and his cul-de-sac crew were out driving their little vehicles this weekend when Matt spotted this cute sight. With one under the hood and one on the ground, they got this SUV back on the road in no time. Good thing, or John would have had to give her a tow home with his tractor!

P.S. Am I the only one that is bothered by the little girl wearing one flip flop and one black sock while playing outside?

Mary's Birthday Celebration - Round 1

Mary's going to be 9 on June 15th, yes Jackie...nine! Can you believe it? Anyway, Saturday she got to start celebrating with a "date" with Grandma and Grandpa Baker. They took her to lunch and then went on a shopping spree. My little greedy monkey came home with a sugar high and two new video games. She's got a week to recoup before her next birthday celebration.

Really, I do like her way of thinking. Who wouldn't like to celebrate their "birth month" rather than just one day? Good girl Mary.
